We are a family farm located in Corryton, TN.

Zavels Family Farms began in the early 1970's as a registered Angus Cattle Farm, with the original 95 acre farm in East Knox County. At that time it was known as Blaine Angus Farm. The farm was founded by Moses and Nell Zavels. The second generation to farm this pristine land is Mike Zavels and his wife Tammy. They began full time farming in 1982 and have added to the farm product mix ever since which now encompasses 300 acres.

The 3rd generation Zavels' are Lindsey, Zack, and Charlie.  Zack and Charlie both started full time farming with their father after completing their college education. During the week, you can find Tammy, Logan (Zack's wife) or Stevie (Charlie's wife) at the local farmers' markets within Knox County. Mike, Zack, and Charlie spend their time on the farm either planting, picking, or packing. Catch them on Saturdays throughout the year at the markets!

Our produce is picked the day of for every market. We pride ourselves in having fresh and local products so produce is never stored in an industrial cooler before market. Beyond market, you can find our produce at multiple restaurants around Knox and Blount County.

We are not certified organic. However, we strive to use organic crop production methods whenever possible. We farm with a hands on approach and with Zavels' hands only touching your products.
